What is this position about?
We are seeking highly skilled technicians with 1-4 years of experience in advanced troubleshooting of custom application software, along with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of healthcare-related processes or IT is a plus.
Dolbey Systems, Inc. develops, implements, and supports Medical Coding (CAC) and Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) systems for hospitals from our home office located in the Greater Cleveland (OH) area. Not sure what medical coding or clinical documentation improvement is, but you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the IT field? That’s fine, read on!
Our software solution is developed in-house, so you may not be familiar with every detail right away-and that’s perfectly okay! We’ll provide all the training you need. In the meantime, you’ll have the opportunity to work with many exciting technologies you might already be familiar with.
Base Qualifications
- Strong passion for technology and computer science across all domains.
- Skilled in professional communication.
- Proficient in assessing hardware, network, and software system requirements to develop tailored solutions and recommendations for various tasks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot reported issues efficiently.
- Consult with senior staff for guidance and escalation of complex or high-priority issues.
- Test newly proposed software solutions for client implementation.
- Demonstrate a keen sense of triage and urgency, managing time-sensitive tasks related to system implementation, upgrades, and updates.
- Contribute to internal and client-facing projects focused on tracking and implementing software updates.
- Strong documentation skills, including creating and reviewing internal documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Nice skills to have
- Familiarity with maintaining and updating 3rd party applications to align with our software specifications, including message queue and database, MSSQL and No-SQL, applications.
- We use MongoDB to provide scalable storage for big data.
- We use message queuing in our applications, specifically RabbitMQ.
- While our solutions are typically deployed on-site within our clientsโ infrastructure, which they manage, it is valuable to understand the technologies and terminology they use during discussions.
- Have you ever found yourself repeatedly performing a task and thought, โI need to script this and automate itโ? We utilize PowerShell and various scripting languages, such as Bash, JavaScript, and Python, to automate tasks like backups and other solutions based on the environment.
- Experience working with healthcare clients and systems is highly valued. A background in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or Clinical Documentation Improvement is a significant plus.
Day to Day
- Consistently follow up on tasks and manage escalation items.
- Promptly respond to alert notifications from client systems.
- Address client requests through email, phone, or management channels.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm EST. We also have an after-hours call rotation shared among technical staff that averages 2-4 calls per month.
